I used powdered graphite from my sharpener to do the swirls, applied with a paintbrush

Beautiful design. :D  Congrats on the DD!

On a side note...Now I feel wasteful, because I would create the powder by rubbing my graphite pencils on paper, and then dipping my Q-tip in it. It never occurred to me to use the loose graphite that what was in my sharpener, rather than dumping it in the trash.

Usually I would do it with a blender as well, but this idea came to me and it worked brilliantly. Thank you! :)

I've wanted to use powder myself but I am so afraid of the accuracy XD I have to try the technique some day, though :)
